Valeria Solomonoff (Creator – Choreographer – Performer) has choreographed for Broadway, 电影, 戏剧, 和马戏团, and has created her own shows. Credits include choreographing for the film The Caller where she coached Frank Langella, co-choreographing the musical Evita presented at New York City Center, and sharing the stage with Placido Domingo while dancing with the Washington Orchestra at DAR Constitution Hall. Born in Argentina, she coached Lorin Lataro and Graciela Danielle for Broadway musicals and performed at the Metropolitan Opera House during a reception honoring Argentina's president. She was Resident Fellow at NYU's Center for Ballet and The Arts and is a Research Associate at Harvard University's 合作 Lab. Her show Tango por Ellos received two ACE Awards. She received two HOLA Awards for choreographing Tango Fever and Doña Flor y Sus Dos Maridos and two ACE nominations for Tango Intimo, a show she directed and created. Solomonoff was the founder and co-director of TangoMujer, the first all-female tango ensemble worldwide. Currently she is the artistic director of Valetango and the creator of Broadway Tango. She is a Tango Professor at NYU Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway, and has taught at Hunter 大学, 史密斯学院, and Mount Holyoke 大学. Most recently she received the inaugural Lucy Bowen Award for Inclusive Choreography to create a piece for The Mark Morris 跳舞 for Parkinson’s Disease program.
