小提琴ist Kyung Wha Chung appears regularly as a soloist with the world’s leading orchestras, working with conductors including Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, 西蒙喋喋不休, 曾将安德烈普列文, Bernard Haitink, 里卡多。穆蒂, and the late Georg Solti. As a recitalist she has collaborated with Radu Lupu, Krystian Zimerman, 彼得Frankl, and Itamar Golan. She is a member of the Chung Trio along with her brother, conductor-pianist Myung-Whun Chung, 还有她的妹妹, cellist Myung-Wha Chung. She has been awarded the Medal of Civil Merit which is the government of South Korea's highest honor.

Chung has been an exclusive EMI recording artist since 1988, and has also recorded numerous discs on the Angel/EMI, Deutsche Grammophon, 路透伦敦/台卡, 和RCA标签. She received a Gramophone Award for her recording of Strauss and Respighi Sonatas for DG with Krystian Zimerman, as well as for her EMI Classics recording of Bartok’s Second 小提琴 Concerto and Rhapsodies under Rattle.

Chung holds a Diploma from Juilliard where she studied with Ivan Galamian. She later coached with Joseph Szigeti. She has been a member of the school’s faculty since 2007 and was on the faculty of Juilliard’s Pre-大学 Division from 2008 to 2012.
